Responsibilities include coordinating:
- Social media
- Event planning
- Administrative duties
- Sales research
- Ad design and copy
- Video shooting and editing

Spring 2016 Event Coordinating Internship Overview
Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage is located in Nashville, TN. Our main purpose at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage is to interpret the life of Andrew Jackson.
Internships for the Events Department will be integrally involved in the planning and execution of onsite events as well as the marketing and strategic planning to reach event sales revenue goals.
Events this summer include a vast majority of weddings and some corporate functions. Additionally, there will be the opportunity to be involved with events done to promote the events department including style shoots, attending networking events, and wedding shows.
Potential internship candidates must be self-starters that do not require much oversight. Strong writing and communication skills are also a must. Candidates must be comfortable doing many different roles in a professional work environment.

Duties Will Include
– Market research projects and data mining
– Working to coordinate vendors for events
– Designing graphic emails to drive event sales (Constant Contact)
– Event design and set up
– Assisting with on-site wedding coordinating and decorating
– Internship must be done for college course credit
– Some weekend work required

Students are responsible for setting up arrangements for course credit with the college or university of their choice. Housing and transportation will not be supplied for students.
