Film Project

Portrait of Andrew JacksonThe Andrew Jackson Foundation is raising funds for a new introductory film for its Andrew Jackson Center theatre. The fifteen minutes film will set the stage for a rich, fulfilling visit. It will be inspirational in tone and content and will introduce the Jacksonian Era. Additionally, the film will explore Andrew Jackson’s complex life and career including his role as “The People’s President.” The film will also discuss The Hermitage as Jackson’s home and farm and his attachment to it and in the process, introduce the residents – free and enslaved — of the Hermitage plantation. The new production will launch as part of Andrew Jackson’s 250th Birthday Celebration on March 15, 2017.

This new creative endeavor will inspire our visitors for years to come and will provide them with a comprehensive picture of President Jackson, his life, and legacy. We invite you to join us on this journey as a guardian of our glorious past and an investor in our future.
