Andrew Jackson Bust
Andrew Jackson after William Rush (1756 – 1833)
William Rush likely sculpted his original terra cotta bust when Jackson visited Philadelphia in February 1819 and it was frequently described as a very accurate depiction of the General. Rush sold plaster castings of his bust, but the sculptor of this marble copy remains unknown.
