As mandated by the Metro Public Health Department, all visitors ages 13 and older are required to wear face masks while on The Hermitage property. This includes all specialty tours, inside buildings and on the porches of the Mansion.

Guests are welcome to remove masks while walking the grounds. Please maintain six feet of distance from non-household members.

We are now open! Since closing on March 17, we have anxiously anticipated the return of our visitors and staff, and we are excited to be able to share this 1,120-acre National Historic Landmark with you once again. We are currently offering the Hermitage Grounds Pass, limited VIP Tours and limited In Their Footsteps Tours. Due to local restrictions, the Mansion remains closed, except for the VIP Tours.

We will continue to prioritize the safety of all visitors, staff and volunteers throughout our reopening process. To provide an orderly transition while maintaining safety, our reopening is organized into three phases:

  • Phase 1: Grounds Pass only, with several restrictions
  • Phase 2: Grounds Pass plus, with some restrictions lifted
  • Phase 3: Full Access, with most restrictions lifted

We are currently in Phase 2.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to be fluid, we will monitor the situation and adhere to the guidance of local government officials and medical professionals. We will share more information on the timing of each phase, and what is included, on our website and social media channels.

Thank you for returning to The Hermitage. We are excited to have you back!
