The Cabin by the Spring
The Cabin-by-the-Spring was built to cater to the history buff, sophisticated party-goer and everyone in between. It is truly one of the most unique event venues in Middle Tennessee. We encourage you, your friends, family and associates to be additions to its impressive guest list. With a total capacity of 225 people, it is perfect for receptions or dinners, both large and small. Host your event today amid the natural ambience of the Cabin-by-the-Spring and its rich, green foliage and grounds.
Tulip Grove Mansion
Noted as one of Tennessee’s most elegant Greek Revival-style mansions, Tulip Grove offers an ideal setting for any event, casual or formal. Tulip Grove Mansion and the surrounding grounds can accommodate any size group. Constructed as the home for Andrew Jackson Donelson, the nephew of Rachel Jackson, and his wife Emily in 1836, the mansion features exquisite architecture both inside and out. Beyond Tulip Grove Mansion, guests can stroll down the boxwood path and onto the grounds. To the right of the mansion is ample parking while to the left is a sprawling lawn that is perfect for large tented events and outdoor activities. The 1,120 acre property surrounding Tulip Grove is prime location for private outside functions.
The Hermitage Church
The Hermitage Church was constructed in 1823 from funds donated by Andrew Jackson and others. For generations, it has been a highly sought venue for couples that seek an intimate and historic site in which to exchange their vows. With a capacity for 130 seated guests, the hushed stillness of the quaint Hermitage Church will set the tone for any ceremony, no matter the size. This simple brick structure is the perfect backdrop for your wedding party to shine.
The Gardens and Grounds of The Hermitage
The Hermitage Garden
Rachel, Andrew Jackson’s beloved wife, took special interest in the gardens of The Hermitage and in respect to her, our grounds crew keeps the Hermitage Garden beautifully groomed year round. Guests are enchanted by flowing Weeping Willows, magnificent Magnolia trees and a wide variety of beautiful, blossoming flowers in each quadrant of this historic garden. With three areas available for events, guests can host tented events in this extra special venue. From the vantage point of the garden, everyone is sure to be impressed as the Hermitage mansion is lit up against the night sky as evening falls.
The Hermitage Grounds
Beyond the garden, the grounds afford a number of incredible sites for tented or open-air events. Having the Hermitage mansion, historic log buildings, gardens, fences and ancient trees as the backdrop, our knowledgeable staff is always ready and willing to direct you to the most popular sites for your event. Visitors are also encouraged to roam freely to search themselves for the perfect place to host their dinner party, ceremony or reception. Whatever your vision, our staff is ready to assist with your event plans.
The Executive Boardroom
Whether for a patron’s dinner, annual meeting or morning workshop, the Executive Boardroom is the ideal place to treat up to 40 of your seated guests to an unconventional meeting area.
