Andrew Jackson after William Rush (1756 – 1833)
William Rush likely sculpted his original terracotta bust when Jackson visited Philadelphia in February 1819 and it was frequently described as a very accurate depiction of the General. Rush sold plaster castings of his bust, but the sculptor of this marble copy remains unknown. The statue measures 6″ tall including the base. The base is 3 1/4 ” square
